On Sunday, Copenhagen experienced tragedy as three people lost their lives at Field’s shopping mall and several others were injured. The shooting has shaken the city and people want to pay their respects to the victims, their families and everybody who bore witness to this terrible event.
Therefore, the City of Copenhagen has announced that tonight (July 5) at 8 pm a memorial will be held outside Field’s at Ørestads Boulevard 88. People will be able to lay flowers and be there for one another during this difficult time.
The City Of Copenhagen Facebook page writes in its description of the memorial (translated from Danish):
“We gather on the street outside Field’s to send our warmest thoughts to the victims, their loved ones and everyone else affected by Sunday’s shooting. […] We stand together and show our compassion. Come and show your support.”
People have been paying their respects outside of the shopping centre since Monday. Some have laid flowers and candles and tonight people will be able to gather together in memory of the victims and in support of those still in hospital.
