And you’ll be doing good for the environment!
Over the next few weeks, a stunning meadow in Copenhagen needs to be cleared of its flowers. Why? Well, the field is full of lovely flowers that are beautiful to look at, but they won’t have the same impact on the environment as those which the City Of Copenhagen is planning to plant. And that’s where you come in!
Some gorgeous blue cornflowers are just waiting to be picked by you, and to find the field you should head to this location on Google Maps. It’s part of the lovely Utterslev Mose so it makes for the perfect day out – some flower picking in the morning and a nice walk around the gorgeous park afterward.
This initiative is part of a wider scheme to bring a variety of wildflowers to the area. These wildflowers will provide food and habitats for Copenhagen’s wildlife, and 4000 m2 of grass has already been plowed to make way for the flowers. The seeds have been collected from plants at Langholmen and will soon be planted at Utterslev Mose.
