At Monet: The Immersive Experience you can do just that.
Now open at Copenhagen’s former shipyard, Refshaleøen, the experience invites you to put yourself in the shoes of the iconic French painter using a captivating fusion of giant 360-degree projections, interactive storytelling and virtual reality. You’ll embark on a multi-sensory journey through his much-loved artworks and learn about the inspirations behind them.

What can you expect at Monet: The Immersive Experience?
This is no ordinary art exhibition. Monet: The Immersive Experience explores the impressionist artist’s storied life and creations with a series of rooms, shining a light on everything from colour theory to his love of nature and the reason behind the purple-drenched paintings in his later years.
You’ll be able to enjoy a dose of art therapy as you sit back and relax in a projection room, soaking up a spectacle of light and sound as spectacular visuals inject motion into the historic pieces. One moment you’ll spy butterflies fluttering over a carpet of vibrant flowers and rats scurrying across train platforms, the next you will peer down as the floors transform into cobblestone streets. Even the portraits come to life.
As well as this captivating 360-degree show, you can take things up another notch and slip on a VR headset for a journey through eight of Monet’s most celebrated works. Follow in his footsteps as you stroll through poppy fields and admire the light shining on golden haystacks.

Monet: The Immersive Experience is great for all ages, combining education and entertainment to shine a light on the legacy of Claude Monet. There’s even a chance for aspiring artists to create their own works of art, adding their own colourful spin on Monet’s pieces and seeing them displayed on the wall for everyone to admire.
