5 Of Copenhagen’s Best Vegan Bakeries

Copenhagen has it all, and vegan bakeries are no exception.

If it’s delicious vegan bread, cakes, and pastries you’re craving then you don’t have to look far in Copenhagen. There are even some exclusively vegan cafes selling baked goods, alongside numerous cafes offering vegan versions of all the classics. From high-end custom-made cakes to homely Danish pastries, these bakeries and cafes have vegan treats galore. [Photos: @kafcopenhagen]

1. Cafe Kaf

Cafe Kaf is Copenhagen’s first vegan bakery and everything there is 100% plant-based. Their cheesecakes are particularly impressive, given that they contain no dairy and yet hold their shape perfectly, with a delicious flavour. They can be ordered to take away and enjoy at home.  Check out their website for more information.

2. Landbageriet

Landbageriet is another plant-based bakery, offering loads of tasty vegan pastries. Their cinnamon rolls are particularly good and their bread, available in several varieties, is amazing. At the moment, everything is available to order online and can be delivered to your door the day after you place your order. To find out more, take a look at their website.

3. Bake My Day

Bake My Day bakes picture-perfect custom cakes for birthdays and events. Their ‘kagetapas’ (pictured above) is the one to go for if you really want a taste of everything. We’re of the opinion that you need not wait until a birthday or event to order a cake. Bad week at work? A unicorn cake can fix that! Their website has more info and photos to make your mouth water.

4. Det Rene Brød

Det Rene Brød has bakeries across Copenhagen and although they are not exclusively vegan, there are plenty of vegan options available. Here you will find vegan versions of pastry classics, like croissants and cinnamon swirls. Plus, the vegan bread is delicious. You can find out more about the bakery on their website.
