Now you can see what’s in your area!
Copenhageners have been in the midst of a covid-19 epidemic now for a long time, and everyone needs something to lift their spirits. Well, Copenhagen Light Festival promises to bring a bit of light to our lives this year and we can’t wait. Obviously, the situation with covid-19 makes running events more difficult but the team has persevered and this year the festival will take place between 5-27 February. More than 30 dazzling light installations are on show across the city so that everyone can access them without having to travel far. Additionally, this year’s festival doesn’t include any events that would create a crowd, so people can socially distance. However, there is still an interactive element – on a corner in Indre By there are be 3 trampolines for people to jump on and a huge mermaid tail in the water between Skuespilhuset and Nyhavn. There are also musical benches, origami cranes, and luminous tree roots in different locations for us all to enjoy.
It all sounds so exciting, and if you want to read more about this year’s Copenhagen Light Festival, you can do so on the website.
