Copenhagen Light Festival will be back again every winter for at least 3 years now that the event is sponsored by brewing company Royal Unibrew and we can’t wait to see this year’s incredible light art around the city! The festival will begin on February 4 and run until February 27 so there will be plenty of time for everyone in the city to enjoy the art.
The light art will be spread across the city, including 3 different trails of different lengths for people to follow. They will be 2 km, 5 km, and 10 km. Artwork from both Danish and international light artists will be showcased during the light festival, although the exact pieces of artwork have not been revealed yet.
This year attendees can also register to get married under a stunning piece of light work during the Light Festival. The location hasn’t been revealed yet but ceremonies will be held publicly on Friday, February 18 between 5.30 pm and 7 pm and the fee is 950 DKK per ceremony. So, if you’ve been planning on getting married, have your marriage certificate at the ready, and can meet the requirements on the website, you can apply here.
