Copenhagen knocked it out of the park last night!
Last night the prestigious list of 50 best restaurants in the world was unveiled in Antwerp and Copenhagen well and truly brought home the gold, with Noma winning the number 1 spot and Geranium coming in at number 2.
It’s an incredible achievement for both restaurants and also for Copenhagen’s outstanding culinary world, which continues to grow and develop at an impressive speed despite the pandemic. Copenhagen’s restaurants alone have a grand total of 23 Michelin stars between them, which is an astounding number, and both Noma and Geranium can boast of 3 Michelin stars each.
Noma has taken first place in these ratings 4 times previously, in 2010, 2011, 2012, and then again in 2014. In 2019 the restaurant fell to number 2 in the ratings, but now they’re back on top! Geranium was also up in the top 5 in 2019, but it’s now skyrocketed to second place.
Both restaurants offer taster menus, and obviously, neither are cheap, but if you’d like to treat yourself to a world-class meal then you can book a table on the Noma and Geranium websites. We’re betting they’re going to be even more popular than they already were in the next few months!
