It’s like Silent Hill and The Last Of Us all rolled into one terrifying experience.
This Halloween The Nightmare Makers are coming to literally give you nightmares at Charlottenlund Horse Track. You might be thinking to yourself: ‘is Charlottenlund Horse Track really a scary place?’ And you’re right, there’s nothing inherently scary about it. However, there is something incredibly terrifying about the people who are going to be scaring visitors witless there from October 28 to November 3.
These gruesome guys (sorry guys) are special effects experts. They know all the ins and outs of making people tremble in fear, and they’re not afraid to get stuck in with those all-important costumes. One look at the Instagram page made me feel a bit nauseous, but I reckon that’s the intended effect.
So how’s it all gonna work? Gross creatures will stalk Charlottenlund Horse Track after darkness and visitors (or victims) will literally drive through the 2km long track, probably shaking and screaming. Maybe crying. Who knows? There’s going to be so much creepy ambiance there that you’ll wonder whether you’re still in modern-day Copenhagen or rather in some kind of post-apocalyptic everyone-for-themselves kinda situation.
During the 20 minute trip creepy characters will jump out with the sole aim of terrifying you, and it ain’t for kiddies. Nobody under the age of 15 should come along. And let’s face it, who wants to deal with a child that can’t sleep for the next year, anyway? Nobody. This chilling experience will set you back 375 DKK per car, and tickets are available on the website.
