Danish citizens can rejoice because they hold one of the world’s most powerful passports. This ranking is based on The Henley Passport Index, and includes 199 different passports and 227 travel destinations.
The passports are ranked using exclusive data from the International Air Transport Authority (IATA), based on how many countries their holders can travel to without a visa prior to arrival. Passport holders in Denmark can travel to a whopping 188 countries without a visa, putting the country in fourth place alongside France, Sweden, The Netherlands, and Austria.
In first place are Singapore and Japan, with Germany and South Korea coming in second. Meanwhile, Spain, Italy, Finland, and Luxembourg tied for third place, with access to 189 countries. According to the Index, Afghanistan ranks as the worst passport in the world, with access to just 26 countries.
