Who said you can’t have a party in the rain?
It is set to rain today on and off for pretty much all of the day, but nobody wants to be sat inside the house on a weekend. So, why not head down to Saxogade and join the street party today (August 21)?
It begins at 12 noon and will open until 8 pm, so there’s plenty of time to explore all that’s on offer. We all know Saxogade, with its lovely little cafes and shops, and the people who own these businesses often team up to run these street parties where customers can peruse everything.
Not only can you pop in and out of the shops and cafes, but there will also be food stalls, in particular food stalls from local businesses, and we all know the importance of spending your money locally. A flea market will be on hand to intrigue visitors and there will also be entertainment.
You can sit back and listen to live music, or you can participate yourself on Singstar, if you’ve got the guts to do it. Hopefully, there will be some kind of shelter from the rain, and you can always go for a coffee at one of the local cafes if not, but it’s totally free to attend anyway. You can read more about it on the Facebook event.
