This summer an incredible tourist attraction is set to open in Copenhagen. Standing a whopping 81 metres above the ground, it will offer the most amazing views as far away as Malmö! From June 9 visitors can enjoy incredible vistas from the Zoo Skyliner and part of the funds generated from the Skyliner will go towards the fight against rhino poaching at Pilanesberg National Park in South Africa.
Skyliner towers have already visited other countries, offering the opportunity to see Stockholm, Bonn, Luxembourg and Vienna from a dizzying height and we can’t wait for this thrilling experience to open in Copenhagen. It will sit atop Valby Bakke near Copenhagen Zoo’s main entrance.
The tower will be able to accommodate 60 visitors at a time and it will cost 99DKK for adults and 89DKK for children and 5DKK from each ticket will go towards buying equipment such as drones to better protect rhinos from poaching. Visitors will be admitted until August 28, so there’s plenty of time for everybody to enjoy the views.
Skyliner towers have viewing platforms that rotate so that visitors can appreciate a 360-degree view of the city and others have included a Skyliner bar, too. Don’t worry, you don’t have to climb 81 metres worth of steps. An elevator takes guests to the top, making the experience accessible to everyone. City Skyliner is a German company and therefore conforms to high safety standards, so whilst it might make your stomach flip you can relax.
