600 metres of lovely smooth ice await us at Broens Gadekøkken from November 5 as the place reopens in time for the festive season, and we can’t wait! From ice hockey to a bit of light skating, you can experience it all here and it costs nothing!
They certainly make the most of the festive season, with plenty of events to attend, and lots of friendly faces to enjoy the festivities with. Here there’s such a gorgeous view out over the water and plenty of delicious food to devour, as Broens Gadekøkken is ordinarily devoted to selling street food.
Food stalls will be open Friday – Saturday 11.30 am – 9 pm and Sunday – Thursday 11.30 am – 8 pm, and the bar will be open half an hour later every day. The food here is an experience in and of itself and there’s such a huge variety that you won’t know whether to skate or eat!
This place has been entertaining ice skaters since 2019 and it’s become a Copenhagen favourite because here you can pair yummy food with a bit of festive exercise. However, in 2020 the rink had to close after a while due to the pandemic. So, we’re super-excited to see it open again this year, and hopefully for the full season!
They’re pretty happy too, which is why they might be hosting an opening party from November 5-6. We don’t know much about it yet but you can keep up to date with everything that’s happening via Facebook, and you can find this lovely rink at Strandgade 9. Skates are always available to rent, so don’t worry if you don’t have any.
