This place is all about quality.
Just over a month ago, the delightful Esmée opened its doors in Copenhagen, serving up an amazing menu incorporating a mix of European cuisines. You might have noticed a boom in the amount of restaurants opening up post-lockdown and we couldn’t be happier to see Copenhagen truly back in business. However, if you eat with your eyes as well as your mouth, you need to check out Esmée because the food is truly stunning.
On the menu is plate after plate of delicious fare, made from the freshest and tastiest ingredients. If seafood is your thing then you’re in luck, because everything here is of the highest quality, from the fresh oysters to amazing king crab and Danish crayfish. It’s all served over ice to keep it fresh even whilst it’s on the table, which is often the sign of a good fish restaurant.
The deliciousness doesn’t stop there because this place isn’t just about the fish – here you’ll find incredible meat and vegetables too. An open kitchen ensures views that will make your mouth water, particularly if you’re sitting by the rotisserie and can see the spicy bbq poussin turning, or a whole Danish turbot roasting.
The whole menu is a la carte so you can stop by for whatever takes your fancy, whether you’re hungry for a full meal or would rather graze on some amazing oysters whilst sipping one of the lovely cocktails. Plus, it’s pretty much cheese heaven, with some of the world’s finest cheeses on the menu, including delicious English stilton and creamy French comté.
Esmée is open for lunch and dinner, and if you’d like to book a table then you can do so on the website. You’ll find this brilliant restaurant at Kongens Nytorv 8, 1050 and there are plenty of tables available to book as we write.
